Import Trial Balances

Import Trial Balances is where you will use the Import Queue to add, importTo bring a valid trial balance file into the General Ledger Manager database from the Import Queue. In the import process, only the trial balance data in the file gets brought into the database., and manage all of the trial balance files that you want to use General Ledger Manager to combine into master trial balances. Before trial balances can be imported into General Ledger Manager, they must first be added to the import queueThe import queue in the Import Trial Balances module lists the trial balances that have been uploaded to General Ledger Manager. It enables you to add trial balances to the queue, import them into General Ledger Manager for creating master trial balances, and to manage them.. Trial balances can be added to the queue in any one of the following three ways:

• Manually by using the Add a File to Queue routine in the Import Queue.
• Manually by using ONESOURCE Excel Add-inA locally installed add-in for Microsoft Excel Professional that enables you to enter data into certain ONESOURCE applications using linked Excel worksheets instead of using the interfaces of the applications. In fact, the ONESOURCE applications do not even have to be open for you to add data to them using this add-in. to upload trial balances to the queue. • Automatically by using General Ledger Manager connect, which is a utility program that enables the automatic upload of trial balance files to the Import Queue. If aThomson Reuters implementation specialist has set up General Ledger Manager connect, the utility has been configured to monitor a folder on your PC or a server for the presence of new trial balance files. If those files are named correctly, they are automatically uploaded to the Import Queue. Your installation of General Ledger Manager must be licensed to use this utility.
